Features

Features are what differentiate plans. They are the benefits, functionality, or augmentations that you vary to create different levels of value between your plans. Features can be actual things that effect the experience of an app or service, like enabling a certain function, or can be purely an invention of marketing.

Features are created at the product level and their values are set at the plan level.

A Product can have as many features are required.

Tip

All the features are shown in the Pricing Table, so adding too many can be overwhealming for your customers.

Features In Products

You create features at the product level. You need to decide on:

  • Feature Name, a label for back-end reference that not visible publicly.
  • Feature Display name, the publicly visible name of the Feature.
  • Feature Description, a publicly visible long-form description of the Feature for tool-tips.
  • Feature Value type, options are, Numerical (this includes an unlimited option), Text Options, or True/False.
  • Default Values, for each of the option types you can set a default value to be used in new plans.

Any of the above can be updated at any time.

Features In Plans

All the features set up in a product will show in the plan. The default value of the features will be used unless you change it. At the plan level you can only change the value of the feature.

Warning

If you make changes to existing features or add new features after you have set up you plans, you should check the feature values in each plan to ensure they are correct.
